Christian rock group, Cloverton, infuses song with lyrics about the birth of Jesus"Hallelujah" is a song written by Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, originally released on his album Various Positions (1984). Cohen reportedly wrote as many as 80 verses before paring the song down. While it didn’t achieve much success at first, the song gained popularity as other musicians began to perform it. The song has been covered by Willie Nelson, Rufus Wainright, and Jeff Buckley, and featured in the movie, "Shrek." In this video, Christian rock group, Cloverton, gives "Hallelujah" a Christmas makeover, with lyrics about the birth of Christ. It was recorded last year.
