Whoever said that becoming a sister means giving up everything you did before entering religious life?

The example of this young novice of a Franciscan community in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, seems to prove precisely the contrary.

In a brief video posted on Twitter on February 12 by Sr. Teresa, a Franciscan sister, we can see a young novice with a huge smile on her face and an immaculate habit, moving at high speed across the ice in the open air. She clearly knows exactly what she’s doing.

The brief clip already has more than 250,000 views and has received a slew of likes, comments, and retweets.

Readers made a variety of positive comments, in a humorous tone (common on Sr. Teresa’s Twitter):

In fact, Sr. Rose has always been passionate about winter sports, especially skating and ice hockey, which she used to do at university before she joined the convent.

And religious life doesn't stop her from getting back on skates from time to time, especially in this region where it frequently snows. With the long Canadian winters and low temperatures, winter sports enthusiasts really find what they are looking for.

This is obviously the case for Sister Rose, whose joy is clearly contagious!
